School Safety

The Standard Response Protocol

Our school has adopted the “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to help keep students and staff safe. We will be training and practicing this protocol regularly.

The SRP is designed to handle all types of emergencies rather than focusing on specific situations. It uses clear language, similar to the Incident Command System (ICS), so everyone understands what to do, even if changes are needed during an incident.

The SRP has five specific actions that students, staff, teachers, and first responders can take if there’s an emergency. Each action has a simple name and clear instructions. The five actions are:

These terms help everyone stay safe by knowing exactly what to do when each action is announced. Click on any of the actions above for additional information about that response.

Notifications

Notifications are regularly sent out for general announcements, reminders, and information sharing from InTech. We use the One Call Now service to facilitate these notifications. We use this same service to broadcast emergency notifications. Emergency notifications are sent out via Text, Email, and Phone Call (for numbers without texting) as soon as we are able during an emergency.

Parent Notifications

Parents are automatically enrolled in our notification system as long as their contact information is up to date in Aspire. If you need to update your contact information, please do so on the Aspire website or by contacting our main office.

Student Notifications

Students must opt-in to receive notifications from InTech. They are not automatically enrolled. To opt in as a student to our notifications, text #icastudent to 22300.

Fill out the form link texted back to you with the emails and contact numbers you want to receive InTech notifications on. You’ll then be signed up!

Crisis Tip Line – SafeUT

InTech uses SafeUT as our crisis tip line. SafeUT provides a way to connect to licensed counselors who are ready to listen to any crisis or concern. Support is immediate, confidential, and as easy as reaching for your phone and sending that first message.
